HOW TO FIND US AT LA VIEILLE ABBAYE

FROM LIMOGES AIRPORT-BELLEGARDE (1HR)

Take the D20 south, sign-posted Aixe-sur-Vienne. Cross the river at Aixe (10kms) and still heading south on the N21(main road to Perigueux) pass through Chalus and La Coquille on to Mavaleix (40kms). Turn right at the cross roads here to Chalais and St.Jory de Chalais. Go straight on at the traffic island in St.Jory, down the hill through the village, cross a bridge and keeping left, climb the hill to Paradol. Take a right turn after the wooden bus shelter on your left, signposted St Saud and straight on to La Vieille Abbaye. The Abbaye Studio is on the 'T' junction near the top of the steep hill into the hamlet (50kms).

 

FROM BORDEAUX AIRPORT - MERIGNAC (2.5HRS)

Take the E70 autoroute north around Bordeaux and take the Libourne and Perigueux turn-off (20kms). Follow the autoroute south of Perigueux, leaving it at D710(140kms). Follow the D710 to Perigueux north, through the retail park, turning right at the last traffic island on the N21,signposted Limoges (145kms). Follow the N21 through Thiviers until you reach Mavaleix(190kms). Turn left at the cross roads here to Chalais and St.Jory de Chalais. Go straight on at the traffic island in St.Jory, down the hill through the village, cross a bridge and keeping left, climb the hill to Paradol. Take a right turn after the wooden bus shelter on your left, signposted St Saud and straight on to La Vieille Abbaye. The Abbaye Studio is on the 'T' junction near the top of the steep hill into the hamlet (200kms).

 

FROM BERGERAC AIRPORT (1.5 - 2HRS)

Follow the N21 from just outside the airport, through Bergerac, Perigueux (50kms) and Thiviers and on to Mavaleix (100kms). Turn left at the crossroads here to Chalais and St.Jory de Chalais. Go straight on at the traffic island in St.Jory, down the hill through the village, cross a bridge and keeping left, climb the hill to Paradol. Take a right turn after the wooden bus shelter on your left, signposted St Saud and straight on to La Vieille Abbaye. The Abbaye Studio is on the 'T' junction near the top of the steep hill into the hamlet (110kms).

BY CAR FROM PARIS (5HRS)

Follow the autoroutes via Orleans to Vierzon. Careful here as it is very easy to take the wrong motorway. From Vierzon you go to Chateauroux and on to Limoges where you leave the autoroute and take the N21 south towards Perigueux, through Aixe-sur-Vienne, Chalus and La Coquille until you reach Mavaleix (5kms south of La Coquille). Turn right at the cross roads here to Chalais and St.Jory de Chalais. Go straight on at the traffic island in St.Jory,down the hill through the village,cross a bridge and keeping left,climb the hill to Paradol. Take a right turn after the wooden bus shelter on your left, signposted St Saud and straight on to La Vieille Abbaye. The Abbaye Studio is on the 'T' junction near the top of the steep hill into the hamlet.(10kms from Mavaleix).
